Meet May & Kathy
The sister duo of May and Kathy Yeung is a powerful and creative combination. To know them is to understand their love for style, luxury, entrepreneurship, business-savvy and dedication to philanthropy. Their story begins at an early age, with formative years spent in a home where traditions were based on a commitment to excellence and an appreciation for fine craftsmanship. Early on, it was clear that one young girl had an uncanny knack for the creative, and the other young girl, for the analytical. Like two peas in a pod, they were perfectly matched siblings.
May, with her love for luxury and aesthetics, was inspired by her mother’s simple and elegant practice of accessorizing. Kathy had an early fascination with business. When other little girls’ favorite toy may have been a doll, hers was a pink cash register. Over the years, their complementary passions evolved with May being the go-to style maven for her family and friends, and Kathy sharing business ideas with her father whenever a new concept inspired her. It was also during these formative years that the two sisters developed their dedication to making a difference in other people’s lives through mentorship and tutoring.
As they became young women each sister took a unique path. May completed her studies at UC Berkeley and began to work in the world of fashion at companies such as Liz Claiborne, Monet Jewelry, and 1928 Jewelry. Kathy earned her MBA at the Anderson School of Business and worked in executive positions at various consulting firms, as well as at Oversee.net.
May and Kathy’s childhood and professional experiences shaped them to build an entrepreneurial enterprise of the heart that honors the inspiration of their parents, each other’s talents and their passion for accessible luxury.
